New Sunset Amphitheater in Colorado Springs adds reggae to its lineup

Sunset Amphitheater is adding a little reggae to the mix.
Iration and Pepper will perform Aug. 18 at the new 8,000-seat, open-air venue. Indie band Denm and reggae band Artikal Sound System will open the show.

New amphitheater in Colorado Springs adds pop rock band to lineup
The Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Iration dropped its first album, “No Time for Rest,” in 2007 and watched it climb to the top of the Billboard reggae charts. Hits include “Time Bomb,” “Cookie Jar,” “Be Alright” and “New Style.” Their eighth album, “Daytrippin,” came out in October.
Pepper, a three-piece originally from Hawaii, released its first album, “Give’n It,” in 2000, and now has eight albums to its name. Singles include “No Control” and “Give it Up.”
Two classic rock bands added to lineup at new Colorado Springs amphitheater
The groups join a roster that includes pop rock band Barenaked Ladies Sept. 21, classic rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top Sept. 28, contemporary Christian artist Lauren Daigle Aug. 23, and comedian Jim Gaffigan Sept. 13.
Grammy Award-winning Christian artist announced in Colorado Springs amphitheater lineup
The amphitheater will open Aug. 9 on the city’s north side, southeast of Interstate 25 and North Gate Boulevard in the Polaris Pointe development, with three consecutive shows by pop rock band OneRepublic. The Aug. 9-10 shows are sold out.
