Pikes Pick: Heller Center at UCCS in Colorado Springs offers roster of events

The Heller Center at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs is worth a visit. Tucked behind the main campus on a 34-acre nature preserve, the center offers free events, including movie nights, concerts and exhibits. The upcoming Scary Good Outdoor Movie Night on Sept. 25 will feature the 1954 film “Creature From the Black Lagoon” and the 1982 “Poltergeist.” It starts at 7 p.m., 1250 North Campus Heights; 719-255-8227, heller.uccs.edu. — Jennifer Mulson, The Gazette
