Motorcyclist killed in crash in Colorado Springs

A motorcyclist is dead following a single-vehicle crash in central Colorado Springs Thursday afternoon, police said.

The Colorado Springs Police Department arrived to the 800 block of Centennial Boulevard, a few blocks west of Interstate 25, around 4:45 p.m. and found the motorcyclist with fatal injuries.

Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the rider died on scene, police reported.

The Major Crash Team unit has assumed control of the investigation.
