2 arrested in April shooting at Memorial Park parking lot

Two people were arrested and one person remains at-large after allegedly firing 30 rounds at an occupied parked vehicle at Memorial Park in April, according to a blotter entry by Colorado Springs police Wednesday.

Both occupants of the vehicle were hospitalized with minor injuries in the shooting off Union Boulevard near Prospect Lake, according to previous reporting by The Gazette.

Police made an arrest Tuesday of one of the suspects, who is now an adult, after being located in the same area as the shooting. He faces two counts of attempted murder, the entry stated.

A second suspect, who is suspected of attempted murder, turned themself in on Tuesday and was released the next day on a personal recognizance bond, according to the entry. A third juvenile is still at-large.

All three were allegedly in possession of handguns, police said.
