One person shot, wounded in east Colorado Springs

A person was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound Saturday, according to an online blotter post by the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police responded to a shots fired call at 8:15 p.m. in the 500 block of North Murray Boulevard and found “multiple” shell casings on the ground, the blotter entry states. 

Police said they are investigating what led up to the shooting and there was no word of an arrest.

The Department’s violent crimes Assault Unit heads investigations into first- and second-degree assaults. The Unit has been assigned to lead the investigation, according to the blotter entry.
