2 dead following shooting in east Colorado Springs

Two people are dead following a shooting in east Colorado Springs on Sunday, according to law enforcement officials.

At about 2:20 p.m., officers responded to a call about a shooting in the 4100 block of Sod House Trail, south of Barnes Road and east of Oro Blanco Drive. When they arrived at the scene, they found a man and woman, both deceased, each “with at least one gunshot wound,” police said.

Domestic dispute call leads to shots fired outside Colorado Springs home

All involved parties appear to be accounted for, according to an online blotter entry. CSPD’s homicide unit is investigating the shooting.

Anyone with information that may help the investigation is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).
