After hearing from our readers on the Best of the Springs website, we compiled a list of the 9 top-rated Italian restaurants here that offer perfect cozy ambiance and delicious dishes to warm you through the winter.

Founded in 2017, Ristorante Di Sopra is owned by Chef Franco Pisani who also owns Paravicini’s. Their extensive menu offers dishes like Braised Beef Bruschetta, Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Cacciatore. Also be sure to check out their Chef’s Choice Featured Wines list.

8. Luigi’s Restaurant

Luigi’s has been a staple in the Colorado Springs Italian food scene for over 60 years. They serve pizza, pasta, soup, salad, desserts and much more. Don’t forget their dedicated Casserole Menu complete with Manicotti and Tortellacci.

7. Roman Villa Pizza

Roman Villa has also been a long-time Italian restaurant in Colorado Springs since 1959. They offer many types of pizza including “The ‘Gallina'” which has mozzarella, chicken, artichoke hearts and tomatoes on top.

6. Paninos

Paninos has two locations in Colorado Springs, the first one having opened in downtown in 1974. Their menu revolves around the panino — a warm, savory Italian sandwich. Some other highlights of their menu include create-your-own pasta and calzones.

This family-owned and operated Italian eatery was founded in 1987. According to Mollica’s website, some popular menu items are the Hot Pastrami Sandwich, Italian Salad and Grilled Chicken Alfredo.

Chef Eric Brenner opened Red Gravy in 2016, which is located on Tejon Street. Red Gravy offers a wide array of entrées such as Sea Scallops Puttanesca and Salmon Picatta. Looking for dessert? Red Gravy has a great dessert selection with two liquid dessert options.

3. Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano

Biaggi’s has locations across the country, with one location in Colorado Springs and one in Denver. They have a special November Chef’s Features section on their menu right now. For a limited time, customers can order Pumpkin Crème Brulée, Creamy Chicken Meatball Soup, French Onion Bruschetta and more.

2. La Bella Vita Ristorante Italiano

Chef Giuliano Casulli, hailing from Bari, Italy, opened La Bella Vita Ristorante Italiano in 2012, bringing a blend of classic and contemporary Italian flavors. Highlights of the menu include the rich Lasagna Bolognese and flavorful Gamberi Scampi. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, offering a variety of dishes for any occasion.

Paravicini’s in Old Colorado City comes in at No. 1, solidifying its reputation as an award-winning staple in Colorado Springs.
