A structure fire in Colorado Springs displaced two residents and consumed three structures Friday morning, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Department officials said, crews arrived on the scene of the blaze just after 11 a.m. near 817 W. Jefferson St.
At about 11:30 a.m., the department said in a social media post the fire had grown to be impacting an area of brush behind the structure, with crews defensively battling the flames.
“Several brush trucks have been ordered as well,” the department said in a social media post.
At 2:26 p.m., fire officials announced the blaze to be under control.
According to officials the home, a shed and an “out building,” were lost amid the fire. Two residents have been displaced and no injuries have been reported at this time.
“This was a wind driven fire and spread quickly,” fire officials said. “Please be careful as we continue to have high winds.”
An official cause of the fire remains under investigation.
