Fire at Colorado Springs apartment complex contained to 1 unit; pet rescued
Two people have been displaced after a fire damaged a unit at an apartment complex Tuesday night, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
At 6:18 p.m, the department said in a post on X that crews were responding to a working structure fire at an apartment complex at 2020 East La Salle Street.
Roughly an hour later, CSFD reported the fire was under control and kept to one unit. Three people were medically evaluated and released, a pet was also rescued, the post said.
The fire was the second one crews responded to in the area Tuesday. Around 3:30 p.m., about half a mile south, firefighters responded to a fire in a detached garage. No injuries were reported.
