Who's Who at the Zoo | Rocky Mountain Goats

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is home to five Rocky Mountain goats, the youngest of which is Blanca. The 9-month-old's birth was a surprise to keepers. Her mom, Lena, didn't show any signs that indicated pregnancy, so her birth was an unexpected pleasure last May. Her father is Albert, an 8-year-old who was brought to the zoo in 2018 with the hopes of increasing the goat herd. After Lena arrived in 2019, a love match was made.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo has done it again.

 For the seventh consecutive year, the local animal house is being recognized as one of the top 10 zoos in North America by USA Today, this year earning 4^th place.
