WATCH: Palmer Ridge basketball team manager wows fans


Palmer Ridge's four-year team manager Yariv Bennaim, who has autism, took the court in the final minute of Wednesday night's boys basketball game against visiting Sand Creek.

Bennaim went 2 for 2 and scored four points in his first-ever game action.

Jordan Phillips had a game-high 27 points, D'Shawn Schwartz added 12 and Sand Creek rallied from a double-digit deficit to beat Palmer Ridge 56-48.

The Scorpions improved to 14-8, 9-4 4A Pikes Peak Athletic Conference.

Palmer Ridge (10-12, 6-7) took a 19-6 lead after the first quarter. Tyler Trego, who finished with a team-high 15 points off the bench, led the way with three of the team's four 3-balls in the opening frame. Isaiah Sanders added seven points.
