Highlights from Monday's high school sports scene around the Pikes Peak region.

 

HOCKEY

Pueblo County 7, Liberty 5

At Pueblo Ice Arena: Pueblo County (6-8 overall, 5-6 Peak Conference) held off Liberty (4-10, 2-7) to keep the Hornets in the playoff hunt.

Pueblo County is two points behind Heritage for the final playoff spot.

Nathan Watts scored four goals for the Lancers.

Heritage 10, Rampart 0

At Sertich Ice Center: Troy Ciccarelli notched a hat trick, Nathan Compton had two goals and an assist, and Charles Stewart dished out four assists to lead Heritage (9-7 overall, 6-4 Peak Conference) past Rampart (2-14, 1-9).

Rams goalie Jimmy Grosklaus made 35 saves.

 

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

Arapahoe 66, Palmer 37

At Arapahoe: Arapahoe (15-4) hit seven 3-pointers and the Warriors cruised past Palmer (10-10).

Palmer was held to seven points in the first quarter and eight in the fourth. Arapahoe led 33-17 at the half.
