Shortly after 9 a.m., the Sheriff's Office tweeted that 911 and non-emergent phone lines were functioning properly.
"Thank you for your patience!" the tweet says.
All El Paso County Sheriff’s Office 911 and non-emergent phone capabilities are down, according to a tweet from the Sheriff's Office on Wednesday morning.
"We are diligently working on the problem with the E911 Authority and will let you know when they are back up and running," the county tweeted.
