The Association of School Business Officials International has awarded Academy School District 20 and Harrison School District 2 the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting for having met or exceeded the program’s standards for financial reporting and accountability.
The districts were recognized for their Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending 2015.
Sponsored by VALIC, the award confirms the school districts' business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency.
Such recognition can help strengthen districts' presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.
VALIC is a division of AIG and sells retirement plans to school districts and other organizations.
