Mike Knar, the general manager of SOCO Radio, recently completed an agreement with Walsenburg Radio to manage and operate KFEZ 101.3 FM, also know as Easy 101.3 (www.easy1013.com). KFEZ, which has an adult contemporary/easy listening format, has a signal that reaches most of southern Colorado, including Pueblo and Colorado Springs.

SOCO Radio also is managing the sales and marketing for the new KCEG (780AM, www.780kceg.com), which launched in Colorado Springs with a country oldies format. Both KFEZ and KCEG began broadcasting this week.

“I feel Easy 101.3 will fill a large void with the loss of KCMN,” said Knar. “I believe the 45-50 plus audience is grossly under served in Pueblo and Colorado Springs by the current radio ownership.”

Knar says he has several more stations to announce in the coming weeks and is looking for a variety of talents and help. Interested parties should contact mike@socoradio.com.
