A train derailed Wednesday morning after colliding with a semi-truck on Highway 85 south of Platteville, authorities said.

The crash happened about 5:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Highway 85 between Fort Lupton and Plateville, said Fort Lupton Fire Department in a tweet. The highway is closed in both directions, according to Colorado State Patrol.

Several cars derailed in the crash. The semi-truck driver reportedly had minor injuries, Colorado State Patrol said.
