Flashing lights on top of police patrol car

A two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in southeast Colorado Springs required both drivers to be transported from the scene with unspecified injuries, according to Colorado Springs police.

The crash happened about 12:45 a.m. at the intersections of East Fountain and South Murray boulevards.

The roadway was closed for more than five hours before police opened all lanes about 6 a.m.

Sgt. Tim Kippel said alcohol was a factor in the crash.
