A 28-year-old Colorado Springs woman was killed shortly after midnight Saturday while trying to cross Interstate 25.
Danielle Strahan was hit at about 12:15 a.m. by a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta going north on I-25 about 10 miles north of Pueblo. Strahan, who was crossing the interstate from east to west, landed east of the interstate.
The driver and the passenger of the Volkswagen were wearing seat belts and were not injured.
Police do not believe the car was speeding, nor do troopers think the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
