Southbound Interstate 25 shut down shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday after a "serious wreck" was reported by Colorado Springs police.
The crash occurred just south the Cimarron Street interchange. Police said at least two people were hospitalized. Their injuries were not life threatening, police said.
At about 7:15 p.m., all the southbound lanes were closed and police were diverting traffic off the highway at Cimarron Street.
By 10 p.m. not much had changed as southbound I-25 was still closed, causing traffic congestion throughout the city. All lanes were reopened at 10:55 p.m.
A Colorado Springs Fire Department tweet just before 6:30 p.m. indicated that the crash involved a car and a motorcycle.
