Three robbers stole money and merchandise from a Diamond Shamrock in northeastern Colorado Springs on Wednesday night, law enforcement said.

Colorado Springs police responded to a panic alarm at 4295 N. Academy Blvd. shortly before 7:15 p.m. where three robbers threatened the store clerk with a deadly weapon, police said.

The robbers took cash from the register, ransacked the store and escaped before police arrived, according to law enforcement.

The clerk was unharmed, officers said.
