Colorado Springs police have resolved an incident with a barricaded suspect in the 5200 block of North Union Boulevard Wednesday evening. One suspect has been arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft.Â
In a post on Twitter at 4:15 p.m., police officials first described the scene as "active and unsafe," asking people to avoid the area.Â
This incident has come to a safe and successful conclusion. One suspect has been taken into custody for motor vehicle theft. Our detectives will be on scene for several hours as they work to put all the pieces of this puzzle together.

Police also issued a shelter-in-place order for the area which has since been lifted.
