Colorado Springs Police are seeking witnesses in the brazen attack of a 17-year-old female about 11 p.m. Friday in the 4000 block of Lacy Lane.Police said the teen was walking home when she was put in a choke hold by a mustachioed man in his 20s who demanded money.
After a short struggle, which left her injured, she told the robber she’d give up her cash, but not her purse.
The suspect took the money and ran across the street. He climbed in the passenger side of a red minivan, which drove away.Police said the attack occurred in view of passing cars.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP or call police at 444-7000.
