Sixteen local students are among the 226 high school seniors from Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming who have been named 2016 Daniels Fund Scholars.

Four of the students are from Harrison High School, the most from any school in Colorado this year.

More than 2,200 students applied for the program, which provides full-tuition scholarships at any nonprofit, accredited college or university in the nation.
