A Texas man has been identified as the motorcyclist who died on the scene of a southern Colorado crash Sunday morning.

The crash occurred on Interstate 25 in Las Animas County near the Colorado-New Mexico border, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Robert Hendricks, a 53-year-old from Cleburne, Texas, died after the 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide he was driving went into the center median on a northbound curve, throwing him from the motorcycle as it began to roll end over end, troopers said.

Speed was a factor in the crash, troopers said.
