A man and woman were shot at six times — with four bullets hitting them — while driving in southeast Colorado Springs early Monday.

The woman driver was shot three times and the man once, reported Gazette news partner KKTV.

The woman drove to a hospital, where they were treated for nonlife threatening injuries.

The pair was driving near Monterey Road and South Circle Drive about 2:15 a.m. when two gunmen got out of a vehicle and began shooting.

The hospital later notified police about the two victims. Police said they have few details but did recover shell casings from the road.

The victims’ identities were not released, and no descriptions of the gunmen were available.
