A man was stabbed Tuesday evening near East Las Vegas Street and South Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs police reported.

About 6:30 p.m., scanner reports said a man had been "stabbed in the jugular" but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The southbound lanes of South Nevada Avenue were shut down for about an hour, Gazette news partner KKTV reported.

Police said the suspect was a woman in her early 20s. No arrests have been announced.
