Flashing lights on top of police patrol car

Colorado Springs police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured Wednesday afternoon. 

Shortly before 1 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the 3600 block of Verde Drive in southeast Colorado Springs. Upon arrival, officers found a man who had suffered a gunshot wound. The man was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

No suspects have been identified at this time as police are investigating.
