Police arrested a man Tuesday who they say shot another man last month in Manitou Springs.
Darren Cole Johnson, 33, is being held on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, according to a post on Manitou Springs Police Department's Facebook page.
Officers responded to the shooting on Nov. 24 in the 100 block of Manitou Avenue and found a man near the Dillon Motel with two gunshot wounds, police said.
Johnson was arguing with the man before he pulled out his gun and shot him, a witness told Gazette news partner KKTV. The victim was awake and talking when he was taken to the hospital, the witness said.
Johnson is being held at El Paso County Jail.
Johnson, 33, is being held at the El Paso County Jail on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to make a court appearance Wednesday.
