Four graduating high school seniors from Colorado Springs are among the 55 students statewide to receive scholarships from Comcast NBCUniversal.

The students were identified as already showing “remarkable leadership skills in their school and community work.”

A total of $73,000 was awarded this year through the Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program, which recognizes students’ achievements inside and outside the classroom.

The local recipients are:

Each won a $1,000 scholarship  to apply to college expenses for the 2018-2019 school year.
