Tuesday, there's a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. but most of the day will see sunny skies and a high near 80 degrees. Meteorologists said there should be a low 10 mph wind speed moving north that will shift to the south in the afternoon.

Wednesday and Thursday are both expected to have sunny skies and highs in the 80s. Thursday night, temperatures will drop to a low of 52 and wind speed will pick up slightly between 10 to 20 mph, meteorologists reported.

The high for Friday in the Pikes Peak region will drop slightly to the mid 70s, but wind speeds will pick up to about 35 mph in the afternoon. That evening will most likely remain breezy and drop to a low of 42.

Thursday and Friday's windy and warm temperatures will make fire danger a concern, reported Gazette news partner KKTV.
