Facebook and Twitter are abuzz after the United Kingdom voted Thursday to leave the European Union.

English newspapers have had their fun, with playful headlines and front pages.

The Daily Mail headline read, in bold letters and true rapper fashion, "WE'RE OUT!" Below in smaller text they wrote "After 43 years UK freed from shackles of EU."

The Sun, ran the headline "SEE EU LATER!", and featured people cheering in the background.

The switch has come with some unintended consequences, however: immediately following the decision the Dow Jones went down 500 points, and the value of the pound plunged to a 30 year low, as reported by CNBC.
