A 3-year-old boy playing in a bedroom Sunday afternoon fell 25-30 feet when a window’s screen gave way.

The boy landed on asphalt when he fell at about 5:15 p.m. from an apartment at 1320 Potter Drive. He was playing near a window directly over a bed when he leaned or pushed against the screen, causing it to give way.

He was taken to a hospital, though his injuries did not appear serious, said Colorado Springs police Sgt. L.C. Morgan.
