The City of Fountain Public Safety Department will host an Autism Awareness Night from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Fire Station No 1, 811 N. Santa Fe Ave.

Kids will be able to try on fire gear, sit in a fire truck or police car and meet the Public Safety Team.

The events will be sensory-aware. At 5:45 p.m., lights and sirens will be activated, and families that do not want to stay for that can leave before they are activated.

Demonstrations will include the police department’s drone.

The event is free and open to families who have a child or children on the autism spectrum.
