Blog: Big change at bluprintPowerYoga

Change is afoot at bluprintPowerYoga studio downtown.

As of this Saturday, June 13, owner Aylin Schwartz says it will become a donation-based studio, joining the likes of Cambio.Yoga and Manitou Yoga.

And what's more? The studio will now be known as One Yoga USA, a yoga franchise founded by Eduardo "Eddy" Krumholz in Texas in 2009. Krumholz has two studios, in Houston and Dallas, that offer yoga teacher trainings. He and Schwartz will hold trainings in Colorado Springs in January.

"We're different in that we do the asana side of it, but want to focus on building community," Krumholz said. "That’s why we want to do donation-based yoga. We want to give back to the community."

Krumholz, a 500-hour registered yoga teacher, is also the man behind the new Jedi Class offered at bluprintPowerYoga. I've heard good things about this 90-minute challenging class.

Celebrate at a re-grand opening they've named "Community in Action" on Saturday. They'll offer free/donation-based classes, and all donations will benefit Urban Peak.
