Colorado Springs employee fired after viral video shows puppy being thrown back into cage

A cell phone video went viral on Monday after it recorded a Colorado Springs Chapel Hills Mall Pet City employee repeatedly grabbing and shoving a puppy as it tried to exit a kennel. The dog was caught several times between the cage and door as the employee attempted to shut it. 

Academy D-20 superintendent pick Kimberly Hough unexpectedly withdraws from consideration

The sole finalist as the next superintendent of Academy School District 20 in Colorado Springs has withdrawn her application. Kimberly Hough, an assistant superintendent in the Loudoun County School District in Virginia, “respectfully removed herself as the recommended candidate.”
