If you sang hallelujah when In-N-Out announced a location coming to town, I must ask: Are you aware of the local counterpart?
Drifter's, with two restaurants in Colorado Springs and another in Texas, states its mission as "rescuing the reputation of the 'fast food' hamburger."
And with its California style and simple menu, the comparison to In-N-Out is inevitable. Drifter's is proud of that simplicity. And it should be.
The burgers are cooked to order, explaining why lunch lines develop. Add fries and a milkshake, and you've got the all-American meal.
