Authorities in Mesa County say they arrested a 53-year-old Silverthorne man on Thursday night after finding more than four pounds of cocaine in a rental car he was driving, according to the Denver Post.

Timothy Prater was booked into the county jail on $50,000 bond on charges of possession of drugs with intent to distribute and driving with an obstructed windshield.

"According to a criminal history search, (Prater) has an extensive past, which includes trafficking narcotic drugs and cultivating marijuana," the county sheriff's office said in a news release Saturday. "Cocaine was located in his travel bag, inside the rental vehicle."
