Two clerks were slightly injured fighting with a man armed with a handgun who attempted to rob a central Colorado Springs liquor store early Saturday, police said.
Dennis Caldarelli, 49, was arrested on suspicion of attempted aggravated robbery after allegedly demanding money at gunpoint from the employees of J's Liquor at 31 E. Fillmore St. at 12:13 a.m., according to Colorado Springs police.
After the clerks fought off the armed man, a police dog tracked the suspect, who was found hiding a few blocks from the store, police said.
