A shooting in Pueblo that killed a 21-year-old man early Monday may have been accidental.

Pueblo police said they're not searching for a suspect and, though they're doing a "thorough" investigation, they do not suspect criminal intent.

The shooting was reported about 2 a.m. at Motel 6, 4103 North Elizabeth St., police said.

A group of people had been drinking at the motel and handling guns when the 21-year-old accidentally shot himself, police said. He has not been identified.

No other information was provided.
