The 2017 Colorado Youth Matter’s Youth Action Day will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, and Monday, April 10, at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.

Registration is happening now at https://www3.thedatabank.com/dpg/627/personal2.asp?formid=meetings&c=8275587.

On Sunday, participants will learn about the TEA and the Positive Women’s Network about how to be an ally to those living with HIV.

Sex education and related social issues, and government buy-in also will be discussed.

A creative art project that sends a message will conclude the day.

On Monday, youth will get to write letters to and call their legislators, or meet them in person with volunteer work. They’ll also learn more about the state and federal legislative process, and even go on a tour of the state capitol.
