A woman was robbed at gunpoint early Thanksgiving morning in a parking lot in the 1400 block of Alvarado Drive, near South Academy and East Fountain boulevards. Although a gunshot was fired, she was unharmed, according to Colorado Springs Police.

Two male teenagers in a two-door black vehicle allegedly parked next to the woman's vehicle about 4:30 a.m. One pointed a gun at her and demanded she get out of her vehicle and empty her pockets. The other suspect got into her vehicle and sat in the front passenger's seat.

The thieves rummaged through her purse and stole her cell phone, police said.

A gunshot went off as the suspects were preparing to leave the area. Both men were wearing black.
