A woman is in custody after she was found walking in the middle of Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs disoriented and in possession of suspected narcotics Friday night, police said.
At about 7 p.m. police responded to several calls from concerned motorists about a woman walking in the middle of northbound Interstate 25 near the Martin Luther King Jr. Bypass.
Angela Trento, 19, appeared to be disorientated and was restrained after she became combatitive with police. She was also in possession of methamphetamines, said police.
She was then transported to a local hospital where she assaulted a member of the hospital staff, police said.
Trento is now being held on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and 2nd degree assault, said police.
