A woman died early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in the North Academy Boulevard exit ramp from Interstate 25.

A 1999 Ford Explorer crossed a median and rolled around 12:15 a.m. driving southbound in the right lane. The passenger, a 30-year-old woman from Denver whose identity has not been released, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle when it flipped. She died at a Colorado Springs hospital.

The driver, Anthony Ronzo, 58, from Erie, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the El Paso County jail after being treated at a local hospital.

Ronzo was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication and vehicular homicide.
