Woman dead after Highway 50 crash

On person is dead after a two-car collision at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Mackenzie Avenue in Canon City, police said.

Canon City police said 54-year-old Sally Kruse died after the Nissan she was driving east on highway 50 collided with a westbound Dodge Durango after she tried to make a left hand turn in front of it.

The driver of the Dodge, 51 year-old Barbara Benish and a 16 year-old male passenger were not seriously injured and were released on scene, police said.
