A man and a boy were shot Sunday night after a brawl broke out in south central Colorado Springs, police said.

The two males are expected to recover from their wounds, Colorado Springs police said.

Callers reported several gunshots just before 10 p.m. in the area of Winnepeg Drive and Hutchinson Drive, near Circle Drive and Airport Road. According to police, the callers said they had seen two cars leaving the area, and believe the incident was gang-related.

Police confirmed the shooting had occurred, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses, but did not find the victims. The man, who had left the scene in his own vehicles, soon turned up at a hospital with a serious gunshot wound, police said.

The second shooting victim had driven himself to a residence in the 3100 block of East Dale Street, police said. Police did not release the victims' names or any details about their injuries.

Anyone with information about the incident can call the Colorado Springs Police Department at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
