“The Walking Dead" (7 p.m., AMC, Season Finale) - In the season finale, the communities join forces in the last stand against the Saviors. The season’s story lines culminate in an all out war.
“Academy of Country Music Awards” (7 p.m., CBS, Awards Show) - Reba McEntire hosts the 53rd annual celebration. Performers include Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, and Miranda Lambert.
“Fear the Walking Dead” (8:10 p.m., AMC, Season Premiere) - A lone traveler’s weary journey is interrupted by new acquaintances, some who become friends, others who become foes.
“Supergirl” (7 p.m., The CW) - When Winn’s father dies, his estranged mother reappears, trying to reconnect and to explain why she abandoned him all those years ago.
“Natalie Wood: Murder Mystery” (8 p.m., ID, Documentary Premiere) - An investigation into what happened to Natalie Wood, who drowned while on a boat trip with her husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken.
“Civilizations” (7 p.m., PBS, Documentary Premiere) - Simon Schama looks at the formative role art and the creative imagination have played in the forging of humanity. Simon explores the remote origins of human creativity with the first known marks made some 80,000 years ago in South African caves.
“The Challenge: Champs vs Stars” (8 p.m., MTV, Season Premiere) - A new group of professional athletes and entertainment high rollers engage in a high stakes competition in the name of charity and the title of Ultimate Challenge MVP.
“Designated Survivor” (9 p.m., ABC) - As more content from President Kirkman’s confidential therapy sessions continues to leak out, Vice President Darby meets secretly with the entire Cabinet, resulting in attorney Ethan West looking into the president’s past while playing a large role in his future as commander in chief.
“The Originals” (8 p.m., The CW, Season Premiere) - Desperate to see her father after seven years, Hope resorts to drastic measures to bring her father back to New Orleans.
“Ex on the Beach” (7 p.m., MTV, Season Premiere) - Ten “celebrity” singles from MTV reality series think they are running away to a tropical island for a once in a lifetime romantic vacation but some unwanted guests arrive to break up the fun.
“Jay Leno’s Garage” (8 p.m., CNBC, Season Premiere) - In the season 4 premiere, Jamie Foxx shows Jay that he’s no baby driver when it comes to stunts and Ben Collins finds himself trapped in a Bond chase scene.
“Kodachrome” (Netflix, Movie Premiere) - Struggling A&R executive Matt (Jason Sudeikis) finds his world turned upside down when his estranged father's nurse (Elizabeth Olsen) shows up unexpectedly in his office. Matt's father, a famed bad-boy photojournalist (Ed Harris), is facing terminal cancer and his dying wish is for Matt to join him on a road trip from New York to Kansas to process his last rolls of Kodachrome film before the sole remaining lab closes and those captured moments are gone forever.
“Mercury 13” (Netflix, Documentary Premiere) - The remarkable story of the women who were tested for spaceflight in 1961 before their dreams were dashed in being the first to make the trip beyond Earth. NASA’s ‘man in space’ program, dubbed ‘Project Mercury’ began in 1958. The men chosen, all military test pilots, became known as The Mercury 7. But away from the glare of the media, behind firmly closed doors, female pilots were also screened. Thirteen of them passed and, in some cases, performed better than the men. They were called the Mercury 13 and had the ‘right stuff’ but were, unfortunately, the wrong gender.
“War for the Planet of the Apes” (6 p.m., HBO) - Simian leader Caesar seeks revenge on the humans who killed his family. In time, his vendetta threatens to ignite all out war between the two species.
“Unlocked” (6 p.m., Starz) - A traumatized CIA agent must prevent terrorists from unleashing a biological attack on London. Orlando Bloom, Noomi Rapace, and Michael Douglas star.
