Was a tornado spotted in Pueblo? Police say no

The Pueblo Police Department received a high number of calls Monday afternoon regarding a possible tornado sighting on the city’s eastside.

Police tweeted a news release link around 3:30 p.m. about the calls in an effort to reduce emergency phone calls regarding a tornado sighting.

“The department has checked with the National Weather Service in Pueblo and has been informed that there is no tornado activity in the area,” the news release read.
