Pikes Peak makes a frequent appearances on bucket lists. Usually, however, once is enough.

A columnist from Erie, Penn., had other ideas.

On a recent visit to Colorado, he tackled America's mountain in a mix of ways, by train, on foot and by bicycle.

He insists that Colorado must have its own way of figuring out miles.
