Celebrate the National Park Service’s 101st birthday by visiting a national park for free Friday.

Options in Colorado include Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes and Black Canyon of the Gunnison national parks and Florissant Fossil Beds, Dinosaur and Colorado national monuments.

The 2017 calendar also boasts three more fee-free days: Sept. 30 (National Public Lands Day) and Nov. 11-12 (Veterans Day weekend).

While the fee waiver includes entrance to the park or monument, other fees such as those associated with reservations, camping, tours and concessions are not included unless stated otherwise.
