Vintage Market Days Colorado Springs - "Flannel & Frost" will be held Dec. 8-10, 2017 at Norris Penrose Event Center. The upscale vintage and vintage market features original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home decor, outdoor furnishings, food and seasonal plantings.

An indoor/outdoor market featuring 200 vendors selling vintage and upcycled vintage finds returns to Colorado Springs this weekend.

Vintage Market Days of Colorado Springs, which drew about 10,000 shoppers over three days in June, again will be held in the Norris Penrose Event Center.

The vendors, who come from all over the United States to sell home decor, jewelry, clothing, handmade gifts, art, antiques and seasonal plantings, will bring out the theme "Flannel & Frost" in their booths, said Bethany Oliver, who, with husband Asa Oliver, owns the Colorado Springs territory of national franchise Vintage Market Days.

"It's really about a vintage antique, something vintage-inspired or that you create with your own hands. We like to support that creative person who's in their garage making things or is out picking things that people will like to look at," Oliver said.

The family-friendly event Friday through Sunday is a good place to seek out unique holiday gifts, she said. It's not a holiday market, though some items for sale may be holiday-related.

"I try really hard to also have a good core base of vendors from Colorado and Colorado Springs. For this event, 60 percent of the vendors are from Colorado. As a business owner, one of my favorite things is to create that opportunity for other business owners and help build small businesses," Oliver said.

Friday is an early buying event for those willing to pay twice ($10) the other days' ticket price for a chance to get first dibs on the merchandise. The cost to enter Saturday and Sunday is $5. A Friday ticket is good for entry Saturday and Sunday as well, and Saturday ticket holders can return at no cost Sunday.

The event is donating part of the proceeds to Northland Community Church of Monument, whose volunteers will direct parking and carry wares to shoppers' cars.

Food trucks on site will include Bison Brothers, Awaken and The Cupcake Doctor, as well as The Fried Taco making the trip from Oklahoma.

Vintage Market Days is a franchised event that began in Tulsa, Okla., in 2011 and has expanded to 70 locations throughout the country.
